New Years Resolution - March
For the month of March, my Dad and I decided to give our downtown Denver photo-shoot attempt another shot. This time we were much more successful! It was a beautiful evening with beautiful light. I was captivated by all of the new construction and buildings popping up in the downtown area. I can't believe how much has changed, and how excited I was to capture it.

West Chamber YP event, Head Shots
I had the privilage of attending the YP event for the West Chamber last Thursday. I got to photography a great group of people and provide them with head shots. The importance of a professional head shots is sometimes overlooked. I'm very happy I could be a part of this opportunity for this wonderful group of people. I can't wait for the next West Chamber event!
New Years Resolution - February
For the month of February my Dad and I took a trip downtown looking for a good spot for skyline photos. The wind was blowing like crazy and it was bitter cold. We didn't get many shots before the light left us for good behind the overcast clouds. So, to make myself happy with what I came home with I decided this time to play a little in photoshop and see how I could alter my photos to make them more interesting. I'm not much of a photoshop manipulator, but I have to admit I had fun working on these two photos and seeing how different of a mood I can portray just from editing a photo! Enjoy!

Ai Weiwei
Today I was online reading the news and I came across an article that truly sparked my art nerd interests. It was about a Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei.

After reading this short news article about him I wanted to know more. I Googled him and I found an amazing Art21 video. Although I initially started to watch it to learn more about Ai Weiwei, I also was inspired about two other artists. One, Opie, a photographer. I was of course hooked until the end after that. And El Anatsui, a sculptor. I'd highly recommend watching the whole video, but if you just want to watch about Ai Weiwei it starts on chapter 9 in the video. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

New Year Resolution 2013 - January
It's been quite a while since I updated my blog here, so I thought I'd come back with one of my favorite things I'm doing this year. My dad and I have made a New Year Resolution to go on a 'photo excursion' at least once a month together. So, here's our excursion for January. We took a night trip up to Central City, CO for a few hours. It was bitter cold, but worth the frozen boogers. We walked around the quiet town taking photos, and finally stopped in a small pub for some hot chocolate to warm us up before we headed home. A great night for photos, and it made me very excited for the other 11 photo excursions to come!
